Waimoku Falls

Waimoku Falls drop over 400 feet down a sheer lava rock wall and is one of the most impressive waterfalls on Maui. The unusual angle as they cascaded out of the mountain made my composition quite difficult, but I loved the many tiered effect and wanted to capture as much height as possible. I framed my shot tightly between the fern covered walls so the water became the main focus, and used the foreground rocks to add perspective, shooting upwards to capture as much of these breathtaking falls as possible.
