After an exhilarating 20-minute flight from Cairns over the Great Barrier Reef, we sighted the gorgeous sandy beaches of Upolu Cay. From high in the sky this stunning jewel in the Coral Sea looked like a perfect slice of heaven. We circled the cay a few times, and I chose to use my Noblex camera for the shot, the 150-degree field of view giving a slight curvature of the horizon to complement the image. The light was clear and sharp, and illuminated the iridescent colours of the Reef–a truly memorable day.Â
