The translucent waters around Lake Tahoe are dotted with these old bleached timber jetties. After spending the better part of two days searching, I stumbled across this gorgeous location. I was breaking all the rules by shooting straight down the middle, but I wanted the viewer to really get the feeling of actually being on the jetty. I love the simplicity and symmetry of this image–the distant snow capped mountains creating a perfect backdrop for the azure waters of the lake.Â
