The wide fields of North Dakota became my stage as an evening storm rolled in. I knew I had to be part of the scene, standing amidst the wheat as the skies darkened overhead. A weathered barn with peeling white paint commanded the landscape — monumental and unshakable against the approaching storm. Framing the shot, I felt the presence of the land itself, raw and powerful, and pressed the shutter to capture that fleeting moment of mood and grandeur.
