Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
The fall colors were peaking in the Tetons and I knew this location would kick with the right light. I set up my tripod in the river and watched in awe as the late afternoon light played on the majestic Tetons. I carefully composed the shot with a leading line up the river through the powerful reflections. The wind was coming in huge gusts and added to the intensity of the evening as I watched the trees dance and the clouds tinge with colored light. As I was shooting a long exposure, I waited for the scene to calm before I pressed the shutter. A gorgeous glow appeared over the mountains and I felt myself truly in the moment - this incredible image speaks for itself.
