I have found that if I allow Nature to be my guide, I can open myself up to a whole new world of composition. The symmetry and perfection of a simple flower becomes larger than life when used as the focal point and the image becomes almost abstract. Like gently swaying figures around the embers of a fire, the delicate stigmata of this lotus flower provides a vivid contrast to its violet enveloping petals.
