The Grand Canyon is one of the seven wonders of the world and I wanted to make sure this image represented this iconic landmark of the United States. I spent months searching for a vantage away from all the normal tourist spots. I wanted my own special place, extremely remote, to absorb the overwhelming beauty. I waited for a passing storm as I camped out and set up at sunrise. I was so pumped as I saw these colors catch their glow over the canyon. I took a series of shots and felt this image had the magical quality.
