I've tried to capture the Northern Lights during my travels across the world but never found myself at the right place and right time. Dark, clear skies, solar wind, magnetic field... So unpredictable. Even with the forecast showing the activity level high all week, only glimpses of the dancing lights appeared. With days left in Iceland the chase finally paid off. Just needed the right location. Together, the dancing Northern Lights, Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall and Kirkjufell mountain created the epic sight I'd been searching for.
